Absolutely beautiful & far from the BLM’s & the DOI’s description of “starving & unhealthy” wild horses! Makes you wonder exactly where they are looking, doesnt it?
Great pictures – every day!!
So interesting that you say that. 🙂 Someone just sent a request for photos to me and other advocates to counter claims that wild horses on the range are starving. This is one of the photos I sent of our Spring Creek Basin mustangs. Despite our heat and drought conditions, our mustangs – and our range! – are extremely healthy!
I’m not surprised – I watched one of the “hearings” with the conversation between Mr. Zinke & Mr. Stewart – the pictures they showed were from one of the areas a few years ago where the BLM not only did not bother with contraceptives, but left the horses there until there was no grass left – and yeah they were thin! Those are the only pictures that are shown – never yours or Carol Walkers, or Rachel Reeves! Seems like there should be someone at these hearings that can show there IS another side to this story, doesnt it?

How absolutely beautiful! These girls are just radiant, and the fact that they are and that their range is so healthy is due in large part to you and others like you who advocate so tirelessly for mustangs! 🙂
Agreed, Maggie! I think that’s why some photos are being collected that show our healthy horses and healthy rangelands. Ironically, we’re doing land-health assessments in Spring Creek Basin … and they’re proving that we’re pretty darn healthy. 🙂 The good SHOULD be shared!!!!!

Including our current BLM folks who have a vested interest in working with us to ensure the health of horses AND rangeland. 🙂 Thanks!
Pretty girls. Looking sassy.
And yes TJ; we are so very fortunate to have the BLM guys that we do for our herd management area. Thanks to them as well! 🙂
Just look at Aurora, love this girl. Beautiful and healthy, all three of them.
